For countless generations an organization known as the APS (Anomalous Protection Society) has secretly walked a path between the human world and that of the anomalous. Its goal is to protect humans from harm and to preserve the existence of these rare anomalies. A balance that's not easily kept.
You play as Sean Desmond, a young and newly instated agent of the APS, struggling to come to grips with the recent and brutal death of his partner. His first assignment takes him back to his hometown, where he must face the ghosts of his past, unravel a series of deadly murders, and uncover a plot within his own organization that could jeopardize everyone he holds dear.
Caught in the middle are three unique and unlikely allies that must work together if they are to survive, but are some grudges too deep? Your actions will dictate how the story will end!

After the tragic loss of his partner, Sean Desmond, a rookie agent for the covert APS (Anonymous Protection Society), is given his first solo mission: to track down a Versipellis (Shape-Shifter) Class Anomaly. This takes him back to his hometown in upstate New York, a place teeming with difficult memories and unresolved emotions regarding his step-sister, Amy.
As he delves into his search for the Versipellis, he discovers that the quiet suburban town he once knew is now plagued by a disturbing string of murders and mysterious abductions.
As Sean dives deeper into the investigation, he realizes that these killings are linked to his own past in ways he never could have imagined. Plagued by haunting visions and nightmares, he must confront his inner demons while also trying to catch a cunning killer who always seems to be one step ahead. And who exactly is this Versipellis? Is it the murderer, an ally, or perhaps someone closer than he could ever have imagined?
